My Pledge

Dear MIL,

I want to begin this letter by expressing the enormous amount of gratitude I feel towards you. You have come into my life as a blessing and helped me immensely in my transformation. You came at a time when I was struggling with the various aspects of my life. Most of them were not making sense, some of them were precious yet incomplete and some were just misaligned. You helped me create a beautiful picture out of these various pieces and gave me various insights which I am carrying with me for life. You helped me realise that who I am is whole complete and perfect.

You taught me that its ok to fail as it’s just one of the many events of my life and everything depends on the meaning I attach to these events. I am slowly realising the truth of life and becoming aware about the perceptions that I hold. I have begun to unlearn so many things that I thought were important and I was holding onto them. I have now realised the importance of letting go and becoming lighter. You healed me, you nudged me, challenged me, pushed me, shook me, made me uncomfortable to the core. But I am happy with what you did to me. I am now convinced that I am much much more than what I thought I was.

The most precious gift that you gave me was the realisation that I am not my core beliefs, I am not my needs wants and desires…but who I am is the BEING, who is a part of the supreme consciousness. Who is the individual, the permanent, who is even beyond the ego and the mind. The mind who is the great slayer of the real and I have to practice to slay the slayer as it is only then I would understand that there is nothing higher than the truth.

With these new insights, I feel prepared to play fully. To dance the beautiful dance between my ego and being, consciously. I feel grateful for this journey that I have embarked upon. I am failing everyday, but I don’t get bogged down by that because you have convinced me that I am not born to play small. And this gives me renewed energy to play big. I want to become your steward for all my life and many lives to come. I promise to continue playing big and not to give in when things don’t work out. You have become an inseparable part of me and I will give my best to continue this journey.

Thank you once again for coming into my life and continuing to be a part of my transformation process.

Much love,

Sagar
